I just went to cancel my Adobe Photoshop plan. I'm not using it at all these days and they charge me $30 a month. Figured I can put that money somewhere else. I pressed on the "manage plan" button. Then on "continue". It told me what features I'd lose if I cancelled. They even told me if I would like to browse different plans so I can switch to a better deal. I still pressed "no thanks". And even though I said no... The next page immediately showed me the different deals I can get if I do not cancel. They knew exactly what they were doing. The first offer ? "Get the next 2 months for free" instead of cancelling. They want you to see that offer at the final moment before you cancel. So only those who really want to cancel would see it. It caught my attention right away. I thought about it for a minute. They got me. I clicked "accept offer". The next payment is now due on June 28 2025. I probably won't use photoshop again for the next two months. But that thought came to mind: "It's 60 days free. What if I want to use it between now and then ?" The offer made sense. So here I am with another 2 months of photoshop... hoping I use it at last. I could make a cover photo or something. What's a subscription service you know you should cancel but you keep delaying it ? |
