A popular skin cream brand is called: They make hand and body lotion for dry skin. Their main products are “Working Hands” Cream. I first found out about them over 7 years ago. My hands have always dried up since I wash them too much. Back then and today that’s still the case. In winter they crack and bleed frequently since we always get -10C to -30C weather. So when I looked for hand lotion at the time… This O’Keeffe’s brand whispered to me from the shelf. An all green container with a red logo that said “Working Hands Cream.” But the words under it got my attention: “Relieves Extremely Dry Cracked Hands” And under that: “Guaranteed Relief” I used normal lotion before this that were for dry hands. Those work but they have trouble healing bloody cracks if you don’t use them all day. So when I saw the words “Relieves Extremely Dry Cracked Hands” I knew it was exactly what I wanted. My fingers hurt when I bent them. I bought it right then and there. After one usage of a tiny amount of cream on the cracks (before I slept)… They almost entirely closed in the morning. O’Keeffe’s was right. They burnt away at those cracks and helped seal them tight. Whenever I used the cream… I’d feel that satisfying burn around my fingers for about 5 minutes. The company understood the people with harsh and dry skin would have interest in that product. No other skin cream called out “extremely dry cracked” hands this way. Those ones had terms like: “Moisturizer” And in tiny words: “helps relieve dryness”. Good but not great for someone with bloody fingers when they’re checking out lotion. O’Keeffe’s “Relieves Extremely Dry Cracked Hands” sub-headline didn’t have all those ingredients and numbers and images all around the face of the bottle. Then they double down with: They know it’s that good. I attached an image of the container below. Today I’m gonna use it so I don’t bleed while working out again. (This is not a sponsor.) And with that… |

I started reading this book called: "The Challenger Sale". Its premise is around taking control of the conversation with the customer. And what type of seller you should be to increase your chances of closing bigger deals. I'm 50 pages in. So far this book has intrigued me more than I thought. Those open loops are working well. But it's more than the structure keeping me reading. The book talks about the discovery of 5 types of sales reps... after researching tens of thousands of calls and...
As I sit here listening to the Pokemon Colosseum soundtrack... I'm thinking how fascinating it is all these different music tracks exist yet each one stands out as a singular piece of art. Every day new soundtracks release. In video games and films and concerts and more. They have soundtracks releasing in all these mediums. Similar instruments and sounds across many of them... But they each hold their own flavour. The instruments and rhythm differ. The tone changes. The themes contrast. So...
